Upcoming May Events

·         PTC Meeting May 8th from 3:30-4:15. This will be our last meeting of the year. We will be planning events for the 2012-2013 school year. Hope to see you there!

·         Yard Sale and Uniform Exchange May 11th from 3-5 pm. Items can turned in beginning the week of May 1st to either Mrs. Nash or Ms. Colon.  Volunteers for the Yard sale are always welcome!

·         Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7th –May 11th. If you would like to help bag items for teacher goody bags, make a food dish for the May 9th teacher Potluck, or help serve food on May 9th, please complete the form below and return to your child’s teacher.

T.E.C.A T- Shirts

Thomas Edison Charter Academy T-Shirts go on sale starting Wednesday through Friday during conferences.

Fundraiser Patxis( Pah-cheese) Pizza



On March 20th, 2012 we will hold our second annual Patxis Pizza Fundraiser. This was a very successful event for us last year.
It is easy: just order on the phone by calling 415.285-2000 or visit them at 4042 24th street. You can also visit their website  http://patxispizza.com/sf-noe-valley.html

Our fundraiser is for a portion of all sales at this location on 24th street for the entire day . Please support our school on this day by ordering food to take home, or half baked pizzas for another time, delivery orders, and gift certificates.

PIZZA
Patxi’s is proud to offer our pizzas in four different styles to suit your taste:
Chicago “Stuffed” Our flagship pie. A hearty deep dish pizza with a layer of crust on the bottom, followed by layers of cheese and toppings, all covered by another thin layer of crust, topped with our homemade sauce. Prepared and cooked in a deep dish pan. 35-40 minute cook time.
Patxi’s Pan Pizza This lighter deep dish pie features a crunchy cornmeal style crust, with cheese and toppings covered by sauce. Prepared and cooked in a deep dish pan. 25-30 minute cook time.
Regular Crust Classic pizza, medium thick crust, crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. 25-30 minute cook time.
Extra-Thin Crust Crunchy, minimalist, cracker-flat crust highlights the toppings. 20-25 minute cook time
All pizzas are available with regular, whole wheat. All sauces and crusts are vegan. Gluten-free pizza available in 10″ and 14″ size, in a special thin crust style.

Important March dates

Next PTC meeting will be Tuesday March 13th, 2012. We meet in room  254     . Childcare is provided during the meeting in room 255 ( Ms. Kappelhof). Please bring a food or drink item to share, not required but always encouraged. Occasionally we sell Tamales during the meeting as well.

We will also have our next Coffee Social sponsored by the 4th and 5th grades next Friday March 16th on the yard from 8:00-8:30. This a great opportunity to meet with other parents, teachers, and staff.  The coffee socials are held on the last Friday of the month and are sponsored by different grade levels. They have been a great success so far this year. Please stop by and grab a cup of coffee and treat. The coffee social is for adults only. Hope to see you there!

Welcome to the PTC Blog

Welcome to the PTC blog. Here you will find information about upcoming events, fundraising, and news from our monthly meetings.

We meet the second Tuesday of every month from 3:30 - 4:15.  At each meeting you will find an agenda in English and Spanish. The agenda tells what each meeting will be about. The PTC is made up of teachers and parents. Anyone can join PTC.
